Winner, Behavioral and Physiological Ecology: “In March 2013 I was in Chihuahua, Mexico, for a holiday trip. I took this picture in the center of the town, where some Great-tailed grackles were calling and displaying on a roof. This individual (likely an immature male according to its dark eye) was competing with other males without paying attention to people flowing in the crowded street below. The evening light made its dark silhouette stand out against the blue sky and the green wall.” Attribution: Marco Zenatello
